In a single moment, it can all blur by and leave you distorted and confused..
You reel back and survey the damage, looking over old ones along with the new.

Sometimes life gives ya a hard punch in the gut to remind you to face up and live, to make every second count and every moment matter..

Through it all, ya realize that it's more than just misfortune, or a product of circumstances beyond one's reach..

No, the clutter begins to fade and it's all clear..

Life just made ya look back, at the countless scars and the still healing wounds

so your eyes can be opened to the now, and smile at how seemingly beautiful things are despite all that has happened.

That's life..
